A Joss Whedon-directed Avengers was always going to be a geek’s wet dream, but these pics taken in Cleveland are something else.

Standing in for New York, I’m hoping these photos show The Hulk on the rampage (he’ll be CGI’d in later, obvs.)

It’s that, or those pesky Skrull trying one of their invasions. Whatever it is, we can all be certain it’s gonna be bloody brilliant.

UPDATE: They’ve only gone and leaked pictures of Chris Evans in his Captain America uniform!

Kick-freaking-ass!

Marvel’s The Avengers is due out on April 27th 2012.
