News: Benicio Del Toro Drops Out Of Star Trek 2
Gah. I knew it was too good to be true. Benicio Del Toro has dropped out of Star Trek 2 say reports. It’s like Wolverine/Darren Aronofsky all over again. You get your hopes up only to see them dashed in front of your stupid fanboy face. I might be overreacting slightly. Slightly. The rumours persist that he was being chased for the role of Khan. Who do you think should fill the boots of Kirk’s most cunning enemy, should Abrams, Orci, and Kurtzman go down that route?
In other (better) news, Peter Weller, of Robocop and Buckaroo Banzai fame, has signed on and will appear the new film. That’s something, at least. No word on his role yet, obvs.
Star Trek 2 is set to hit our screens with fully 3D lens flare on the 17th May 2013.
