We have some neat new pics from the set of the latest James Bond flick, Skyfall. Earlier in the week we got our first look at Javier Bardem as the film’s villain, Silva. Now we get a look at his evil lair, ‘Skyfall lodge’, and 007 himself, Daniel Craig.

Bond, smartly dressed as you’d expect, and the crew. They were filming out in the Surrey countryside.

007 to the left, and the iconic Aston Martin DB5. It’s good to know the classic is getting another run out, however good-looking the newer Aston Martin DB9/DBS is. Also, is that Dame Judy Dench’s M in front of the car with back to camera?

There’s the Skyfall lodge. Looks like it’s been there forever, right? Nope. Built out of wood and cardboard. Ah, the magic of movies.

And finally, a closer look at Bond leaving the Skyfall lodge.

I really like the direction Sam Mendes is taking Skyfall. After the endless worldwide adventures, it’s good to see Bond back on his own patch here in the UK. Here’s hoping Mendes has the intelligence to distance this new Bond from the Bourne franchise, especially with The Bourne Legacy on its way.

Skyfall is due for release in UK on the 26th October.
