News: Prometheus Featurette Extravaganza

The release of Prometheus (here in the UK, at least) is only two days away. The first reviews are out and doing the rounds. Here are the thoughts of The Hollywood Reporter, Empire, and Total Film if you want to know if the film lives up to the hype. Beware of spoilers, of course. In the meantime, why don’t you watch a load of featurettes about Ridley Scott’s return to sci-fi. Go on. It’ll be fun*.

First up is the ‘Vision’ featurette. It takes a look at the visuals, and particularly the use of 3D, in the film. Plus, Ridley Scott says shit. That makes it worth a watch right there.

This featurette talks about the good ship Prometheus and is probably the most informative of these shorter featurettes I’ve watched.

Here’s a rather annoying Entertainment Tonight promo on the film. It doesn’t offer all that much, but if irritating American voice-overs are your thing…

And finally is a HBO special on the movie that combines everything we’ve seen in previous featurettes and add a little bit more. It’s poorly ripped from TV, with subtitles and all, but it is very interesting.

Prometheus, starring Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, and Logan Marshall-Green, hits UK screens on the 1st June, and the US a week later on the 8th June.
