News: The Dark Knight Rises ‘Journey’ Trailer, Clips, And Pics

The Dark Knight Rises is almost here. Exactly one week to go. This where things become unbearable. Do we wait, avoiding all promo material in case something should spoil the movie, or should we gorge on every little detail and jones like a crack addict waiting for their next fix until the film is finally released? If you’re here reading this, I think I know your choice…

First up is this trailer entitled ‘Journey’. It charts the beginning, the fall, and the rise of Bruce Wayne/Batman (Christian Bale) throughout Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It’s pretty flippin’ great.

Here’s a high quality pic of John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) of the GCPD doing his thing.

This sixth TV spot called ‘Doctor’s Orders’. It lists a number of Wayne’s injuries he’s picked up during his stint as the Batman. It’s darn funny.

Officer John Blake is joined by Deputy Commissioner Foley (Matthew Modine).

This one of the first clips we have. Blake asks Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) about the events of The Dark Knight eight years previously.

Another shot of Blake, this time joined by Miranda Tate (Marion Cotillard). The two most mysterious characters before the production are together. Where are they? What does this mean? These are questions I can’t answer. Wait a week, dammit.

A teary-eyed Michael Caine as Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler Alfred. He always has a few words of wisdom for man in the cape.

Here’s a neat pic of Morgan Freeman’s Lucius Fox. The blurry background and his clothes hint that he’s one of the unfortunate people to have been rounded up by Bane (Tom Hardy) and his goons.

Before that, though, Fox shows off The Bat to a limping Bruce Wayne in this second clip.

Bane takes down Gotham’s Stock Exchange…

… which is nicely foreshadowed by Selina Kyle’s (Anne Hathaway) words in this clip called ‘Fresh Start’.

Catwoman uses an unconscious (or dead) man as cover, which is AWESOME.

The final clip we have is a lengthier version of the talk we saw between Selina and Blake in the MTV trailer. It’s ace and leaves us on a cliffhanger – have they killed Bruce Wayne? We won’t have long to find out.

The Dark Knight Rises hits screens the world over from the 20th July.
