I’m not sure how but I’ve missed telling you all about Rian Johnson’s Looper. I mean this is right up The Shootening’s street – a sci-fi time travelling actioner starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis as the same character?! I need to be taken aside and given a stern telling off. Read more »

Mills, using his particular set of skills, brutally and efficiently tears his way through the Paris underworld in order to rescue her. It is fierce, violent, and fantastic. Anyway, luckily for me, Taken 2 is out soon and here’s the trailer. Read more »

Martin McDonagh’s In Bruges was the perfect mix of gangster thriller and pitch black comedy, and the director’s re-team with Colin Farrell seems to be in very much the same vein. The last trailer for Seven Psychopaths was brilliant but lacked the edge of McDonagh’s features, will the red band version of the trailer provide it? Let’s take a look.

I’ve mentioned a few times how I’d like to see a return of the intelligent sci-fi blockbuster. This year we’ve had the somewhat disappointing Prometheus, and I’ve talked a few times about Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity, which unfortunately been delayed until 2013. So, it’s up to the returning Wachowskis, joined by Tom Twyker, to take up the cause with Cloud Atlas. Read more »
