I’ve spent more time that is healthy playing Call Of Duty’s online deathmatches. Days. Weeks, even. I am not lying. And I don’t even like or enjoy it that much! Sigh. Anyway, what’s left of Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have released a vid showing the new Assault, Support, and Specialist packages…

I am none-the-wiser. Read more »

Posted in Games, News, Trailer with tags , , , , , , on October 7, 2011 by Bjorn Grainger

If you’ve ever played any of the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare games, you might find it hard to believe that they have a storyline. They do. Honest. It’s far-fetched and ridiculous, but they really really do. Modern Warfare 3 is the game where all the strands of the previous two games come together and reach their natural conclusion – Gunfire and ‘splosions. This is the trailer – Redemption.

Gaming kicks back into high gear when the trees lose their leaves and rain lashes against our windows. Yes, the summer lull is over and Autumn is here. Sit back, get comfy, and let me tell you what games you need to be playing in the following months.

10. Resistance 3

The first of a load of “3s” in my rundown. Resistance 3 is the follow-up to game that was the sequel to a title nobody cared about. Resistance was meant to be Sony’s answer to Halo. it didn’t come close. Anyway, we’re on a third and it looks a solid, if unspectacular, title.

Resistance 3 is released exclusively for Playstation 3 on September 9th. Read more »

Yes, I play Call Of Duty. No, I don’t care if you think it’s shit and prefer Battlefield 3. You’ll find us online as part of The Lovely Lads (LoLa). We like to think we kick ass. We usually don’t. Anyway, here’s the first gameplay footage of the multiplayer.

Does it float your boat? Let us know.

Arrested Development Duo Making Content For Call Of Duty: Elite

Posted in Games, News, TV with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on August 6, 2011 by Bjorn Grainger

As if I needed an excuse to sign up…

Activision’s Call Of Duty: Elite, an advanced stat-tracker and social network for COD gamers, has managed to get Arrested Development stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett on board their new service. The pair’s production company, DumbDumb, will ”create original video programming” that will be available on the service, though it not known at this point if it’ll be for paid subscribers only.

Strapping Canadian Arnett is a massive fan of the Call Of Duty series with friends at developers Infinity Ward, and has even lent his voice to characters in Modern Warfare 2. Willowy and lithe, Bateman prefers open world western Red Dead Redemption, but then I could have made that up.
