We reported a few months back that Mads Mikkelsen, best known for playing Le Chiffre in Casino Royale, was being lined up to play the villain in Thor 2, now officially known as Thor: The Dark World. Mads had to drop out after committing himself to the Hannibal TV series. Thor isn’t the only superhero franchise to be affected by Hannibal either – David Slade had to drop out of making the new Daredevil feature for Fox Studios after agreeing to direct the pilot.
