Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel was a big part of the Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros. panel at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend. Snyder introduced a teaser trailer for the new Superman film that we’ll all be able to see before The Dark Knight Rises from this Friday. Things have been a little quiet on the Man Of Steel front lately. This is what happens when films go into their lengthy post-production phase. Luckily for us, though, a recent effects sizzle reel was shown to folk at a VFX industry event. This sizzle reel just so happened to contain some footage from Zack Snyder’s new Superman movie. Hello. Yes, I know, it’s been awhile since my update. You must forgive me for stepping away from the laptop for a few days, but I had to go out and see that big shiny world and those weird people I call “friends”. I found myself in an icy cold and wintry London where I caught some brilliant comedy courtesy of the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society (check out their hashtag on Twitter – #ACMS. They do share it with a few other folk, though), live music by the fraktacular Wild Flag (My heart hurts for Carrie Brownstein), and even managed to catch a film – Haywire. Looks to me like ol’ Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) is mixing it up with some down and outs to truly know what it’s like to be human. You know, alien superbeing understands us through our poorest and most put upon. It’s a lesson or something.

Here we go. After those distant shots of a pantsless Supes last week, we finally get a good look at Henry Cavill in his Superman suit on the set of Man Of Steel.
Okay, so that’s not a good one. How about these?
We got our first look at Henry Cavill as Superman a couple of weeks back. There was some controversy over the chainmail-esque look of the suit, the lack of a spit curl, and much debate over whether Man Of Steel’s Supes would be wearing his traditional red pants or not. Well, these pics seem to answer the question unequivocally.
Nope, no red pants, just a big blue bulging crotch. Dr Manhattan in Watchmen, anyone?
