The first Amazing Spider-Man reviews are doing the rounds and are mostly positive, which is a good thing. It seems my apprehension towards the reboot was unfounded. So, with this happy news ringing in our collective ears, let’s check out some pics and vids as we count down to the film’s release. Read more »
Is it fair to say that The Amazing Spider-Man is the least anticipated of this year’s superhero movies? Is it the thought of sitting through the origin story AGAIN, so soon after the last version, that’s putting us off? Or is it that it’s up against the likes of Whedon’s The Avengers and Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises which is dulling the impact of the webslinger? It maybe neither, it could be both. What I do know is that Sony is cranking up the hype machine in readiness for release and we are getting a lot of new stuff to pore over. Let’s get to it. Read more »
The Avengers, the first in a trifecta of superhero movies this summer is out (or almost out) the world over. Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises has used this opportunity to release its latest trailer and air it before Marvel Studios’ behemoth, and guess what? So has Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man. I haven’t exactly been quiet about my lack of excitement for The Amazing Spider-Man. The trailer was alright, and the subsequent marketing has been lacklustre. Considering this film is going up against The Avengers, Prometheus, and The Dark Knight Rises in a packed summer window, it really needs to step up its game. Anyway, some new pics have been released. Let’s see if they tickle the parts they need to reach. Read more »
The Amazing Spider-Man is shooting in New York right now! What’s that, I hear you say? The Amazing Spider-Man finished shooting ages ago and entered the long and arduous area of post-production where the CGI is created and added, then ruined by turning it all into 3D. Pshaw! Director Marc Webb clearly feels some reshoots are in order. Shall we have a look?
There he is – Peter Parker/Andrew Garfield… Read more »
